e-inclusion: Digitale Tools für Menschen mit Lernschwierigkeiten

Mal eine andere Perspektive auf digitale Technologien: Futurelab hat im Mai einen Arbeitsbericht zur Nutzung digitaler Lerntechnologien zur Unterstützung von Menschen mit Lernschwierigkeiten veröffentlicht:

„[...] one of the key findings of this review is the need for a more mature and established field of research in the area of digital technologies and learning difficulties, one in which research is connected with a wider theoretical understanding of learning in social contexts and with digital
technologies, rather than constrained to the evaluation of the efficacy (or otherwise) of particular tools“ (Abbott, 2008, 9).

Abgesehen davon, dass der zweite Teil dieses Zitats für den Einsatz digitaler Tools im Allgemeinen gelten kann, finde ich den Ansatz der e-inclusion interessant: Er betrachtet digitale Techologien nicht vor dem Hintergrund von hochkompetentn Lead-Usern. Vielmehr sehen die Autoren das Potenzial, die Unterschiede zwischen „normalen“ Lernenden und solchen mit Lernschwierigkeiten zu verringern:

There are no longer strong barriers between products aimed at this supposed group and those aimed at the mainstream(ebd., 18).
